An Investigator's Notes

by Bill Glover

Deceased is a male, forty-two, an entertainer, found dressed for work, submerged in a koi pond behind his home, rolled in a large carpet -- no sign of injury.

An elderly jogger discovered the body through the fence and attempted resuscitation. Present at the scene was deceased's partner and deceased's wife. Wife admits to arguing with deceased concerning the carpet last evening. Drag marks indicate the carpet and possibly the deceased were brought from the house. Cursory examination of the scene revealed deceased's long, orange shoe, caught in the bridge rail above the pond.

Preliminary inference: This clown was knocked-off.
